Data-layer interactions & hook tester
Inspect observed calls alongside replay. Existing history has an observation time, not its original call time. Snapshot changes in older recordings remain inferred evidence.
Captured payload and original arguments
Capture status
Capture starts at injection. Late initialization, replaced methods and page reinjection can leave gaps. Explicitly captured calls and historical entries are kept separate.
Test an event hook
event.name, event.payload and event.args describe the call. previous is the last emitted output on this page. window/document use the selected before/after snapshot. updateCart returns the complete cart as {items: [{pid, quantity, …}], …}; items: [] clears it.
Expected results (optional)
Full test results and emitted values
Tests run from the beginning with fresh state, without sending adapter calls. Passing assertions match the supplied expectations; live hook installation is not tested here.
No variable snapshot selected.
Usage
Examples: dataLayer.at(-1), document.querySelector('h1')?.textContent, Object.keys(window).
To try DOM selectors, seek to a moment, enter an expression above, and click Evaluate at this position. Here, document is the reconstructed page DOM at the selected time; window contains the latest captured globals at or before that time.
In the demo, evaluate document.querySelector('#confirmation')?.hidden at Product view and Purchase: it changes from true to false. Demo buttons replace the expression with an example, so paste your selector again after choosing a moment.
To combine DOM and variable values, try ({ title: document.querySelector('h1')?.textContent, cart: window.digitalData?.cart }). In the browser's DevTools console, access the replay DOM with __EPOQ_REPLAY__.document.
Values reflect the latest snapshot at or before the playhead. Missing values, accessors, and limits have explicit markers. The page's original scripts and functions are not rerun.
Expressions run as JavaScript in this inspector. Only evaluate code you trust. Evaluation does not modify the saved recording.
